Render Replay Directly to Video File - cushinga - 09-09-2023 Is there a way to render a replay directly to a video file at arbitrary quality settings and resolutions on a computer that isn't able to reach a high enough fps at said quality settings? Something similar to rendering something with, say, Blender. It would be nice to be able to do this for video work to avoid low-quality and inconsistent screen capture. Thanks! RE: Render Replay Directly to Video File - Halogene - 09-11-2023 Isn't that what Xonotic's video capture function does? I remember something like "cl_capturevideo", check out it's settings via "apropos capture" in console. Haven't tried that now, this is just from my memory. RE: Render Replay Directly to Video File - Antibody - 09-11-2023 I wrote about this almost ten years ago! The cvars in play haven't changed since then, though you may not want to do any of the "screenshot to timestamp" hackery. The recording tool is also still in the repo - NexuizDemoRecorder. RE: Render Replay Directly to Video File - cushinga - 09-11-2023 That's exactly what I was looking for! (Now to see if I can get it to work) Thank you :) |
