[NEED HELP] Can custom MP3 sounds affect game performance?

Hi,

I was wondering if custom MP3 sounds or modified audio packs can cause stuttering or small FPS drops in Xonotic.
I noticed the game feels less stable after replacing some default sounds.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

That shouldn't be caused by sounds, typically it's caused by other software competing for resources (eg heavy sites in browsers, windows installing bloatware, htop refreshing on another screen and nvidia handling it poorly).
