asyyy, a mindset like yours is exactly the reason why Xonotic has so few female players (judging from the voices I hear during voice chat...). If we want a more balanced gender distribution amongst the player base, it is NOW the time to address 5 year old girls in order to have recruted a significant and adult female player base when 1.0 has hit the road.

Another way to prepare playerbase is to produce children and tech them the Ways of Xonotic.

MLP has high quality scripts, voice acting and very good artwork it's not strange many people other than the target audience likes it.

@Halogene, well there's a lot of women playing cts actually, almost 40% of tge active players at the new cts server is indeed females.

I also have to say the Xonotic Ponies are not that childish, they combine cuteness and prettynes along with some depth. What am I talking about? I am saying that there is somthing "special" and "serious" in them.

Why not? Really good games have always attracted different people of all age groups and backgrounds. Hell I've heard of kids as young as the age of three getting heavy into Quake 3 and Halo (actually a kid with the tag lil poison was making a killing in Halo when he was that young competing in tournaments when he was four and becoming professional when he was six). I also know from past clan and forum activity that Unreal Tournament has seen boys and girls as young as seven years and men and women as old as like sixty or seventy. I myself remember begging for quarters from my mother and standing on some milk crates to throw down in games such as Mortal Kombat and Samurai Showdown before I was five years old.
