[SOLVED] Are these good?

#1
Headphones.
Driver: 57mm
Sensitivity: ~100dB/mW @ 1 kHz
Imp.: 32 ohm
Frequency: 20 Hz ~ 20,000 Hz
Something with cobalt or something.

So, are these any good?

Edit:
See my last post for conclusion.

I can't provide an answer anyway, but I know there are different specs for different uses. Do you want headphones for gaming or for music?

These are Maplin/ProSound nobrands, for 20 pounds. I noticed the big driver and decent (I'm not an elephant nor a dog) hearing range coverage. They are marketed as good monitors.
I want to use them for music (haven't made a tune in months) and movies, but I think that high quality audio is welcome everywhere.

Monitors are primarily built to be revealing and exposing flaws in the source material that gets fed into them, which is why those that work on mastering music use them. Also with audio, you can pretty much ignore most specs as a lot of them don't really tell you how they're going to sound or how loud they'll go (though dB measures loudness, and the bigger the drivers the wider the soundstage in most cases). It should also be noted that most human ears can't pick up anything lower than 20 Hz or higher than 20,000 Hz, though I'm pretty sure I'm an exception to that as I can pick up high frequencies pretty well (using a dog whistle near me or setting off one of those silent cell phone ring tones is a surefire way to drive me insane) whereas others can't even detect them.

Actually ended up getting Sony MDR-MA100 with specs similar to Shure ones mentioned above, except with a tad smaller range (though they do go beyond hearing range). They are not marketed to DJs, but to home Hi-Fi enthusiasts (suspect different equalization). Good ones, though.

Nice choice. Just don't expect amazing quality audio at £20-£30. You usually have to spend >£100 for that.

Wow, about 130 USD (about 100 Euro) would almost build you a good surround sound system over here if you buy used components. I guess you guys really love your neighbors Tongue or hate the cops or both.
