I'm not going to vote right now because while I have tried all maps, I have seriously played only on 4 of them, but I have my favourites.

For those of you who does not yet know: I apply the new layout changes into SpiderCtf that might improove gameplay.

1. I made only one main room now (not three)
2. Flag cariers now are forced to pass through the middle.
3. Flag placement changes.
4. Someone asked me on server (sor, don't remember your name, mate!) to add more cell ammo.
5. Samual said that minelyer should be removed (?)
6. Why not adding botpoints? When the server is empty its always nice (?) to dance with bots Wink

Why? The reason is simple: Map was to easy to make a capture and slightly too big for 5v5. In the version Im working on currently I hope to fix these problems.

EDIT: It might be too late (when it comes to the contest) but I m pretty motivated to improove the maps layout and performance. Nobody will stop me

remove minelayer? why would samual say that ? ... Is he assuming that the new toys mutator is going to be always off? ... keep minelayer ... it needs to be in more maps

You misunderstand how new toys mutator works, and the design intention for Minelayer.

#1: Minelayer is not a core weapon, and thus should never be placed on a map except for in non-core gameplay.... Actually, we're planning on purposing Minelayer and Seeker specifically for vehicle gameplay, as powerful/special purpose anti-vehicle weapons.
#2: New toys mutator replaces weapons which are already on a map, it allows paired weapons to spawn with random selection between them on the core weapons host. For example, if a spawn is NORMALLY a Mortar, new toys will make that pickup be 50% of the time a Mortar, and 50% of the time a Minelayer.

If the map is ever to be merged into the game by default (Which, I realllllyyyy want it to, fantastic map), I will simply swap the Minelayer out myself anyway. ^_^

little trick question:

who actually played the map he voted for with other players?

especially, the votes from guys like Majki (who already stated several times that he doesnt play xonotic) are questionable

Cortez, main reason I gave you my vote is because I got to play it properly several times. While I tried all maps, I didn't get to play seriously on all of them for various reasons.

btw. are there only 34 people who actually visit forums?

For me it's the same basically. I think Spider and Abyss are very good, too; especially the latter plays very well in 5v5 pickups. But I like the fact that Redz/Bluez is a somewhat smaller map with nice design, and it's well-suited for FFA games on the public servers.

Changes to that one done after the voting begun are not allowed iirc, but new versions are possible although they wont participate.

Plus, it's not my fault if the server has unlimited ammo active, i don't like that too Undecided
