[DM/TDM/CA] C-Pit R4

Here's a simple small but tall DM map. It's supposed to be for 2-8 players.
It has a pretty simple layout on which you got to solve a little puzzle but it's also playable without solving it.

Solving the puzzle grants powerups, unlocks rooms, weapons, an elevator. And who manages to complete the puzzle gets a fun surprise.
Later you unlock buttons that activate one at a time every 15sec which grants random perks and randomly changes the map. Activating one will activate the next button after 15 sec.

However the level will also unlock itself after some time and is complete in like 4-5 minutes. Then no perks are granted.
But the 4 random-perk-buttons (terminals A0-A3) continue to function and change something in the level every 20s-1:20m on its own without granting a perk.

The hook is also available. But not always.

Perks:
_Epic:
__Assassin Perk: Jetpack, fuel Regen, strength, 50hp/30ar
__Juggernaut Perk: fireball, invincible, seeker, 200hp/200ar

_Rare:
__HLAC + Ammo
__Rifle + 40 Armor + Ammo
__Seeker + Ammo + 25hp/20ar

_Common:

__Various random perks with health, armor, weapons(crylink can only be optained here) , hook

-complete exterior with skybox, costs 74hp per sec to enter
-a fully functioning elevator, which provides health and a risky escape (when you trigger the doorsensor right before pressing the button for the other level; also fun situation when your opponent also sneaks in)
-the quests will begin to activate automatically after some time not providing any perks, perk-buttons remain functioning and also continue being activated regularily as they also change the map (after 4-5 min the map should be fully unfolded)
-more details
-some wooden planks with 2400 health
-eyecandy

Good map. It is interesting to play on it. I really enjoyed solving puzzles. The secret room also pleased. It is a pity that there are not so many such maps with secrets. Thank you very much.

Thanks for testing and for the feedback. Smile Implementing those secrets is a quite cumbersome process. I guess that's why there aren't many.

Revision 3:
-more more details
-better better flow
-pipes.. which are also details but also give some interesting opportunities for the hook to use
-logic is complete and the story it tells to guide you through the level is better and has an alternate ending now

There's an ending that gives the one who activates terminal B1 100hp/100armor, invincibility and jetpack. But if you activate terminal B1 before A3 you get the alternative ending, where the one who activates B1 gets a weaker perk and the one who then activates A3 gets the same perk.
So you can counter someone from getting the mega perk and instead have 2 with weaker perks(jetpack, a weapon and some hp/armor).

But before that you have to enable the power and boot the system. (~10 buttons to find in total)

The terminals A0-A3 remain active and give random perks while changing stuff in the map. One of those terminals activates randomly at a time.

Items on the map:
_Bullets: 1
_Cells: 2
_Rockets: 2
_Shells: 2

_Fuel: 1
_Strength: 1 (you also get strength and invincibility from some buttons)

_5 HP: 20
_25 HP: 2
_50 HP: 1

_5 Armor: 20
_25 Armor: 3 (2 out of reach at the start)
_100 Armor: 1

Weapons:
_Electro: 1
_Hagar: 1
_Hook: 1 (the location can be unlocked quite early)
_Laser: 1 (as reminder to use it)
_Machinegun: 1
_Vortex/Nex: 1
_Rocketlauncher: 1

Weapons that can be randomly obtained by the terminals A0-A3:
Crylink, Hagar, Hook, Electro, Rocketlauncher, Machinegun (common)
Seeker,Rifle,HLAC(rare)
Fireball, Seeker (epic)

This should provide some unpredictable fun but still be balanced enough.

Love the map! Beautiful, well thought out.
 I tested r4 and found that it's a bit too heavy for my server though. Anything you can do to make it less resource hungry?

Hmm i thought about cutting out the lasers but they are also the main visual for indicating the progess etc. But I think they are quite hungry.
(in the end phase each of those 4 lasers de/activate randomly; which also has to be networked)

I doubt it's the functionality of the level overall because those functions are activated one at a time whereas the lasers be like *epilepsy intensifies*.

Or make it completely different. No lasers but something else. Problem: no idea. :/
