would it be possible to implement a prompt asking for permission to download extra content? (maps, player models, etc.) and also have the ability to cancel a download once it starts?
That would be nice! There are some *ahem* models I'd rather not download.
You do realize that if you don't have those models downloaded, you can't see players who use them?
well, if you declined the prompt, the server wouldn't load and you would select a different one. (sorry i didn't mention that)
That's what I was thinking. Just replace those missing models with a generic one(the marine?). Maps though, you could just sit and chat or it would boot you from the server.
