Most indoor maps works fine, maps like Aggressorx, Aneurysm, Atelier, Aerowalk etc.. Some maps works fine for starters, but once more players join the game my performance starts to drop.

This seems to work on the default maps only. When I type map farewell I get the message; SpawnServer: no map file named maps/farewell.bsp. This is a map I downloaded from a server so I'd believe the directory for the file should be right? I fould the .pk3 file from Xonotic/Data/dlcache, it's also the place I couldn't find the Afterslime map file from.

Red-planet has major slowdowns outdoors and even bigger ones in a flag room.

With enough players, lightspeed slows down to a crawl as well.

... the "map stormkeep" only reads maps from the root of the data directory ... (both the hidden personal one ... and the one were the xonotic executable is )

...

it doesn't read the dlcach ...

from what it seams ... you are either having issues with the player models themselves ... or the new animation code that was introduced in xonotic 0.6 ...

...

i would suggest trying to load one of the nexuiz player models ... and replacing all your opponents with it ... but I dont know how to do that myself ...

Seems like worthy for a try.

Wheres the roof of the data directory exactly? Because I tried copying the .pk3 file pretty much everywhere and no luck running the map. Big Grin

Yeup. It's so bad for me I haven't stayed long enough to get to know the map.

You can move the map pk3 from dlcache to its parent directory. After moving the map, you should either restart the game or issue the fs_rescan command in the Xonotic console.
