Would you be so kind as to provide a reason for excluding dcc? If it's a configuration matter I would like to fix that.

There're some balance changes since wednesday: nex does 80 dmg and has longer animation time. Not a thing you want in the middle of the season

Yes, but it's just two lines of code that have changed. So halogene could fix that by changing the balanceXPM.cfg back (diff: http://git.xonotic.org/?p=xonotic/xonotic-data.pk3dir.git;a=commitdiff;h=5ff2b402f71b737318a5c717c55abe1aa5b07ce6 ).
Or just make "vcall duel" vote another balance config instead. asyyy has put the old balance set here: http://www.xonotic-gaming.org/_files/Config%27s/Server/balanceXDL.cfg

By the way, the Exile and UC servers just won't be updated until next season. You can vote the new balance on ucprivate in case you want to check; but if you implement that on DCC Pickup, you *need* to take care that it is reset to the XDL config afterwards. Otherwise it can happen that players join the server which is already running duel, but with the new config, and use that without noticing directly. I'm not sure if you can make it reset automatically on mapchange =)
In general, a good practice for all players would be to "vcall duel" *every time* before you start an XDL match.
EDIT: According to Mirio you can't vote the new balance set on UC's servers

I'll just implement it so the gametype duel uses the old balance for the duration of this season.

Fixed. Duel game mode features now the old 90 primary damage.
Other game modes use the new setting.
