I just found out about this mapping competition last week and am deciding to throw my hat into the ring. Here's a screenshot of some of what I've been working on. I've only worked a little with quake3 mapping before and that was for warsow and I never really got into shaders / stuff so if my lighting is terrible that's why.
Sorry if this image breaks tables, I'm used to forums auto resizing images.

I fixed your image for you. Use thumbnails next time.
It's easy in Imgur because they autogenerate thumbnails, just add a l (lowercase L) at the end of the file name before the extension in the [img] block: http://i.imgur.com/E3EuR.jpg becomes http://i.imgur.com/E3EuRl.jpg. You can see that in the embed codes on the right, there's a "large thumbnail" link at the bottom.

Hutty: The middle thing does not fit to the wallies surrounding it. Its squared while the rest of the area is curved and sorta organic.

well ... actually the slime around the heal pad is a thin levitating slab ... with another room underneath ... players can easily jump up though the slime and catch the camper off guard

I was actually going to have little glowy purple plants growing out of the glow purple areas ... but im still trying to figure out how to make a good looking semitransparent leaf texture ...

No idea with free video editors rocknroll, I don't know of any decent ones anywa!
Movie should be done before the 31st December, christmas release would be nice but I won't be able to get everything sorted by then.
