Bot waypoint format - Nodenum - 12-21-2011

Hi

I'm playing with script based map generation and tried to figure out how to place bot waypoints. It seems there is no entity like bot_waypoint.

Diggin the webz I've found this

Fair enough, use the game to place waypoints.
I've tried this with four waypoints and the waypoint file looks like this:

'-1308.4 2382.0 24.0'

Taken the first waypoint,

'-1308.4 2382.0 24.0'
'-1308.4 2382.0 24.0'
0

it looks like two vectors (which are the same!?) and maybe a weight value.

Please, can someone shed some light on what the meaning of these values is?

It's a superb data loss protection ought to rival yesterday RAIDs; should any kind of corruption devour one line, there's always another to back it up!

Actually, the reason is that bots support "wayboxes", first line is lower corner, second line is higher corner. But the WP editor only supports points, which are written as 0x0x0 boxes.

It's zero sized boxes. Thanks, for that bit of information.
Though I don't quite see how boxes are better to describe waypoints than, well, points.

Volumetric navigation? Something like that planes-based bot navigation system in Counter-Strike (and most of Source engine) games?
