Startup image - rainerzufalldererste - 07-03-2010 hope you like it RE: Startup image - pyr0 - 07-03-2010 Looks cool! Only the edges could be a bit more rounded. tweaked.png (Size: 60.18 KB / Downloads: 407) RE: Startup image - rainerzufalldererste - 07-03-2010 that's right will look after them RE: Startup image - Roanoke - 07-03-2010 There's too much white on the logo. Do you have source files? (Also, where do you intend this to be shown?) RE: Startup image - Friskydingo - 07-03-2010 That looks beautiful! Aside from rounding the edges on that rectangle, as pyr0 mentioned before, maybe you could try putting a touch of dark gray shading around its borders to make it *pop*! I added some white light! VERSION 2!!! RE: Startup image - Debugger - 07-04-2010 Like it! Cool style, fits to xonotic themes... May adding some other images too, then making random starup images?^^ Did you work with gimp? RE: Startup image - rainerzufalldererste - 07-04-2010 No! Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended! RE: Startup image - unfa - 07-04-2010 I like this image! Could there be a version of that for loading screen? I mean, with caption "Loading..." or something..? RE: Startup image - Friskydingo - 07-04-2010 Yay! I see you followed my suggestion @rainerz! RE: Startup image - rainerzufalldererste - 07-04-2010 yes! I did! looks better now! RE: Startup image - Roanoke - 07-04-2010 It's a raster image? That's probably not a good idea (and to boot, the source is in a proprietary format). Again, what is this for? RE: Startup image - DiaboliK - 07-04-2010 It looks great aside from using the wrong logo :p RE: Startup image - rainerzufalldererste - 07-04-2010 widescreen loading image no widescreen image no widescreen loading image RE: Startup image - Roanoke - 07-04-2010 Wouldn't it be a better idea to use a map shot as a loading image? RE: Startup image - rainerzufalldererste - 07-05-2010 this is a loading image for the gamenot for a map! and you shouldn'nt use a map shot as map loadingimage because the picture has to pe unpacked from the pk3 file! and the pk3 file would be much bigger, when you use it it in that size! RE: Startup image - Halogene - 07-05-2010 I like it. Very much. RE: Startup image - DiaboliK - 07-05-2010 You really need to use the newest logo for this. Otherwise it looks fine. I think we can use this image as a loading-screen if you change the graphics settings? Depends on what Xonotic is using as intro. Is there going to be an Intro-movie for the first release? Otherwise we could use this great stuff RE: Startup image - Roanoke - 07-05-2010 (07-05-2010, 05:35 AM)rainerzufalldererste Wrote: and you shouldn'nt use a map shot as map loadingimage because the picture has to pe unpacked from the pk3 file! So? (07-05-2010, 05:35 AM)rainerzufalldererste Wrote: and the pk3 file would be much bigger, when you use it it in that size!Map shots are already fairly high-res, we can just have the remaining area be an image or some color (or, we could just use really high res shots because, guess what, it's not that much of an added burden). Quote:Ewww! Inkscape to the rescue!Yes, but that doesn't matter as rainerzufalldererste doesn't seem to want to release the source anyway (and he's definitely not gonna make changes to it himself, it seems). Also, he generally doesn't answer posts that don't praise him/the image, it seems (and sometimes goes against what is suggested just because he can).
