Can you texture in the photoshops? - MintOX - 08-30-2010

Can anybody that is talented with photo shop take this texture:

and make it look more futuristic? Its a basic brick texture but i want it to look more like something that would be used to build a building in the future or something alien.
It is going to be repeated throughout the level so keep that in mind. If you want to make different versions that can be mixed and matched that would be cool too.
Bump map and gloss map would be nice but i can do that if you don't. A glow texture with some writing or some buttons or something would be good too.
You can go in any direction you want with the design but i would like to keep the colors about the same.

Cheers!

Its interesting but its not going to work in this map.

It needs to be more uniform in color and the caulking between the bricks needs to be dark i think.
Thanks for your effort though Smile

Cheers!

I can make you something, after my next class. I'l get back to you.
how's this?

if you like it, I will make a normal map etc for it and PM it to you Smile

although I might try and decrease the space between each brick a little more ...

Wow! awesome response. I love this community. I tried every texture so far and they look great but don't fit the map because of how much repetition there is. I got inspired and tried out a circuit board type of overlay as a glow texture that makes the bricks look more futuristic.

The problem is that its patchy again and looks crappy when repeated over and over.

If somebody could make a glow texture like this one:

With similar highlight and low lights but make it so the lines will tessellate (not sure if that is the right word) so the circuit overlay will flow together across the brick over large areas, just like the caulking in between the bricks match up.

Cheers!
