It looks like 1.0 is the winner here, it will become default in the duel configuration.
A new system would be nice though, perhaps that can be discussed further in another thread?
Hmm, is there a way you could use the engines visibikity info to instead select any random spawn point not currently visible to your opponent?
It is actually possible to do so, though that would be almost as easy to exploit (fire rocket, hide behind wall, wait for the player to spawn then come out and vortex them).
Whether such exploiting would actually be done remains to be seen, but it may be worth a try.
Just a side note, introducing the 5 (it was 5, wasn't it) seconds variable respawn time has pretty much solved the spawn rape topic for me and even made hub and stormkeep enjoyable against pro players again.
