A somewhat silly question

Hello everyone! I know this is a daft question, but I've compiled Xonotic from Git, and when I run it there aren't any maps. How do I get downloaded maps to run in the game?

In the xonotic menu -> Multiplayer -> create

or go into the console (shift+esc) and write:
chmap mapname
