NEED OPEN MAP.....

Maps like a town, a village, alien place or underwater....

Needs to be abit bigger....... A Call-Of-Duty type map, hiding places, cover.. Exposed areas

The problem with those maps are that they are not voted for as much.
There are some but most ppl seem to like confined areas better. Also the gameplay is balanced (and the engine optimized) for smaller areas.
Also in such open maps the sniper is way too OP. And having no sniper is also boring to some.

There are a bunch of things to consider with big open maps. Most of them alter the gameplay(or require altered gameplay) in a way the majority of the community doesn't like. So for COD maps => COD.

Also 'Jeffs Vehicle Warfare' has lots of open and large maps and altered gameplay.

What about porting CS:GO maps to Xonotic? There are some great maps on CS:GO imho. They are not big open worlds, but great for Xonotic.

If you like zastavka, look for mxl_school here. There are multiple versions floating around, none has proper shaders for all windows to be transparent but apart from that it can work in xon though it needs a lot of people.

As for large maps in general a) the engine is not particularly good at handling them b) in xon most weapons are useless past medium range so everything beyond that degenerates into vortex pissing matches. When i bring up this issue with vortex, people often claim that it's an issue with maps. No surprise mappers are not particularly motivated to make big ones.

There's already some remakes/ports on CTF, but the problem with CS maps in general is that they're usually very horizontal. Xonotic gameplay requires the maps to be more vertical.
