After 3 weeks i found the time to change a little bit in LavaGiant. I added a few rocks and reduced the light.

the rocks are not fitting imo. for real rocks the rest is too unrocky Smile

i guess a rocky and uneven ground is too difficult.... but the textures should be more.... rocky... Smile

If you know the original map there are no such rocks but I added them because
  1. it was really empty
  2. and there is now more hiding space

You are right if you say the ground isn't that rocky but i think they are still fitting. No one said that it's not possible that humans put them there XD

maybe make the rocks look more human-made/placed Smile or make the rest of the map more natural Smile

it doesnt look very well imo. pretty small bases. nexuiz maps used to be huge Tongue

Just got back, so downloading it now and preparing some feedback for you.

Black-Dragon, would you be interested in contacting me in perhaps re-making one of the DM/TDM maps for xonotic?
Ok so I checked it out, I like the map a lot, very good re-make of it.

The only thing I dislike is that there is a camping rifle and nexgun both in the blue base, I don't like that..depending on whether xonotic gets a rifle or a nex I would just use one of them on the map, not both of them.

Same with the HLAC..I don't like these super-weapons in maps personally, I'd prefer it without however I would not replace it in the red-base with a Machinegun as that would destroy the map as it is at the moment, I forgot how many routes this map had Smile

There my only suggestions anyway, as it is everything else seems really nice, bases are big enough and you actually apply movement on this map also as the ramps are easy to jump up on to get speed.

I'm happy to see this map for Xonotic. I remember when I used to play it in UT classic, so many years ago Smile

It looks very good so far. Imo, the terrain could use some improvement I think. The one in the original map wasn't too good either since it's still BSP terrain, but something still feels odd about the terrain here (maybe due to lightning). Also that skybox is very nice, but if the map is to give the same feel I'd rather go with a nighttime version of it. Just my 2 cents, otherwise this is a great port Big Grin
