Maybe you could elaborate a bit.

He's talking about holding a Xonotic Olympics competition. People do competitively race on Nexuiz. It's not that popular, though. Jumping is also a big deal with trick jumps.

How about Skeet Shooting

We could implement real world olympic events. Curling (would require new "weapons", or just using the portal gun as a nexball mode in which two people sweep while one throws the rock), relays, biathlon (fatigue simulated with idlescale), etc.
