It's not exactly the same as for Darkplaces but similar enough that it should help someone to start coding for Xonotic. IMHO lack of proper tutorials for CSQC is what probably holds back many people... all the available tutorials are for the (old) ssqc which do not really explain what is going on in the Xonotic code (at least I was totally lost).
