Quake live mouse acceleration implementation successfully coded! I have questions

Greetings, I've coded the Quake Live implementation of mouse acceleration for darkplaces and send a merge request towards the master branch, sadly, the mentioned master branch is not ready for normal use and the cl_input.c is different from the stable; that is why I've made the modification using the stable version as a base (https://gitlab.com/Draena/darkplaces/-/t...ate_stable).

Should I create a merge request towards the div0-stable branch too?

Should I share instructions for users to try the fork with the new acceleration?

I thought mouse acceleration is a big no-no is FPSes.

Otherwise, yes, the situation is messy, the upstream DarkPlaces still uses SVN and is not on any mainstream hosting platform, so getting patches into upstream is a pain. And Xonotic div0-stable lags behind by who knows how much.
