[NEED HELP] Buffs Don't Work

Hi, when my friends and i play some maps have buffs. I can pick up strength and shield, but everything else doesn't work. I'll pick up invisibility, and it will give me the message saying i picked it up, but i don't turn invisible, and the bar above my health doesn't show up. My friends can pick it up and become invisible. Please help!
