ps: when i connect to a server the fps shows 1000 FPS. wont this harm my graphics card?

And well, it really shouldn't be much of a problem for modern graphics processors, but if you're concerned you can limit it with cl_maxfps (maybe try 200 or something like this, that way it's consistently smooth.)
