I don't know if you are aware of this, but this could make posting things that affect your emotion very tempting. Are you challenging the internet to mess with your emotions?

So you mean that you will change avatar each time you change mode, or put an avatar of what mode on every post?

:8?

Yeah, that sounds diVvicult. How are you going to do it? Inserting a mood image into each post is kinda...

I can't wait to waste bandwidth on this. It seems HTTPS Everywhere rewrites the urls to something that doesn't function, though.

Well, he can always use third-party image hosting MrBougo! Wink

Yes, that would be nice, I can't write adblock rules for ubuntu one images, the urls aren't specific enough. Tongue

EDIT: I make it seem like I care but I don't, so no offense Smile

yes halogene ... of course I want people to attempt to get emontional responses out of me ...
...thats the whole fun of flame wars and balance threads ...

anyways ... I realized that the size I was using was too big and dominating ... so I scaled it down ...
also for the bandwidth ... its a 32 indexed color png ... 3.5 kbs ...

I could fit 15 of these things in your current avatar mr. bougo ... (currently its the dog and fish one)

I also got rid of my current avatar ... to kind of clean things up a little

Hutty, I was kidding but I agree that was mean. Sorry about that.

EDIT: And to fully disclose how I feel about this... I like text and I hope I won't need to display your images to fully understand your posts. Because if it is so, I currently can't (because their https is broken and I don't feel like turning that off) and I won't be able in the future either when ubuntu one or your account on it or your files disappear.

It's working, though... I also have HTTPS Everywhere.

The head to body ratio on those images makes it look like you're 8.

It's not quite exaggerated enough to look cartoony

wierd

That link of yours does not work anymore. Anyway, HTTPS Everywhere sticks https where it can, and that includes Ubuntu One (which is supposed to work with https). See this bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-ser...ug/1065967

As to the why, I invite you to see for yourself on the extension's website at EFF.

Weird, and you're getting it in https? Maybe there's a load balancer with partial ssl support.

Yes, Ubuntu One's https servers are broken, that's what.

rotfl - bad content type header ;-) it's a feature in apache to serve unknown mime types as as text/html (this is the default and breaks any non text files like the one here) or application/octet-stream (aka binary - which works good even for text files) - easy to see that somebody forgot to change this option at ubuntuone :-). Now... the browsers usually respect this setting and it can cause problems if the admin forgot to set it up correctly, except chromium which apparently doesn't care about the server and detects mime types on its own (which obviously is bad behavior).

No they're not. Use ubuntuone.com and not one.ubuntuone.com

If any https servers are broken, it's Google's. Seriously, the handshake on them takes like a minute. https might simply not work out very well with CDNs. Oh wait, cloud is CDNs. Crap.

Indeed, ubuntuone.com seems to work.

As for google's SSL, do you mean it takes literally a full minute to negotiate it?

I may be stretching, but any site which uses Google APIs seems to load up to 30 seconds longer on average.
