I have been playing minsta for a while now.
I like the new nex model a lot and also the new hook that looks like a chain.
but there is one thing that I think is bad
the fire of the nex weapon, I mean that white string that fires out of the nex when u shoot, I think it looks like some kind of a strong wave, very nice idea, but there is a problem with it. It can't be seen clearly, I mean when I'm being attacked by a player I can't see where is he/she attacking from. The old nex (the one in Nexuiz minsta) had a strong blue beam that clearly shows where the shoot is coming from.
This really affects the game and in large maps I usually get shot before I figure out where is the one shooting me.

NOTE: I'm taking about MINSTA and not the normal nex

I'm talking about the MINSTA VERSION and not the one in normal dm

No "new Nex" has been made for Xonotic.

looks like I misunderstood u, I thought u mean "no" and that the new nex will stay as is.
maybe the Nex in Xonotic Minsta is not new.

anyway I'm not talking about the model itself, it's actually great, I'm just talking about the beam that comes out from it.
I think the beam should be more visible because *in large maps* I can't see where is the one shooting at me. The other nex model that is used in normal dm has a very visible beam.

I'm all wrong, there is no new nex model in Xonotic Minsta, it was caused because of pk3 files I have copied from nexuiz/dlcache to xonotic/data because I had no maps.

anyway, I'm busy now, I'll be back tonight or tomorrow to explain more.
