CTF Pickup Map Stats

Mossepo wondered how many pickup games on Attic actually reached the 10 captures limit, after we played a match with 10 overtimes (yes 10).

I went through all pickups I played starting from 5th January 2011 until this day, which are 191 maps of 4v4/5v5 action being played.

Yeah, really interesting, Attic has only had the capture limit reached once? That's pretty crazy.

i find it interesting that mIKEctf2 had its cap limit reached far more - a comparably (if not even harder) map to cap at. Personally i find such "tricky" maps the most fun to play and also, by far, the hardest to design (and get it right).

I personally find mIKEctf2 the easiest one to attack on (and most fun I think) from the five most played. Also CityCrossings and SpiderCTF are hard, which deserve more games.

hm with only 4 or 5 ppl per team i guess the gameplay of those maps change a bit compared to the "well populated" public games i mainly played on em Tongue CityCrossings i haven't tried, but i do agree SpiderCTF is a rather nice map. Well, theres alot of nice maps out there deserving more play tbh.. but not enough games to go around, i guess.

Surely, pickup games are totally different with set positions and not such a mess.

Sure, i did a bit of that. Some fun games; however the mile long preparation phase of pugs sorta put me off that xD. Don't recall playing pickup on mIKEctf2 tough.
