Ever wondered what happens when people are stranded inside a particle accelerator?

The year is unknown. A broken particle accelerator is stranded on a nameless planet in a nameless solar system. There is noone in sight, only some mining equipment left after the failed Borgovix project. The plan was to spin the drill with the particle stream. But something had gone wrong, and the company left the system. But did everyone board the shuttle?

You wake up inside a particle accelerator, and you can't remember what happened. But there's someone else there. Suddenly that serial rocket launcher HAGAR seems very friendly...

Here's a tip: Disable HDR for this one. It's too bright.

This map is great (when someone plays with you)! I love that you tried to integrate a story into it. It makes the player feel somewhat of a purpose to the carnage here. Smile

However, the bot AI seems quirky in this map. I set up a test 1v1 bot match, with bot difficulty set to "You can win". In the endlessly-looping pipe, the bot never seemed to realize that there is an opponent nearby until I crossed the threshold into the next pipe segment. If I stayed far enough away from its spawnpoint, it never detected me and I just picked him off from afar with my rocket launcher quite easily.

I just collected nearby ammo/health, stopped at threshold, spotted and killed the bot from far way, and advanced forward again. Rinse and repeat.
Wonder where this problem is originating from... Undecided

The story sounds like a cool introduction Big Grin

Unfortunately first thing I though after looking on the screens was: TOO FOKKEN BRIGHT Wink Please dim the lights a little (or is it just your super-bright game setup?).

Also it seems like the map could use more detail here and there.

There are no waypoints. I'll be sending this map to nowego when I'm happy with the layout, but for now it's unbotfriendly.

@unfa: It's the screenshots, but also the settings - For this release, disabling HDR/Bloom is a must. I'll dim the sky in the next release.

NEW RELEASE

This one fixes the sky issue (still pretty bright though), but is also a testing build (expect blocky shadows).

Aha! Thanks, that clears things up! I didn't know there weren't any bot waypoints placed on the map.

As for the new release, I've got to say it's pretty spectacular! I'm happy that I don't get blinded by the sheer bright sunlight blasting into my eyes every time I step out of the pipe. Big Grin
