Xonotic Quick Cup #9 (Duel/AU)

A 16 player duel tournament was hosted on Australian servers today, the tournament was single elimination due to time constraints.

The map pool was:
-Aerowalk
-Stormkeep
-Bloodrun

Matches were a best of one except the finals which was a best of three featuring a game on each map in the pool.

I had a lot of fun, and i'd like to thank everyone who competed

there was no game for third but equal third/fourth were

This was good fun.

In case anyone was wondering, the map pool was chosen with the intention of convincing some strong Japanese players with Quake Live experience to join the competition. Our next duel cup will be run on new maps (probably three of: silentsiege, ctXdm1, fe26, Sunset, though there's a couple of other new ones we have to look at too before deciding).

Thanks Mirio for filling in when one player couldn't play, and congratulations on winning a game (!) and also slapping lain.

ggs everyone , thanks to everyone participated especially the high pingers from Japan (lain and lento) and from EU (Mirio). That was a lot of fun and hopefully we'll be organizing more of these cups in Australia in the coming months.
