Ha. Funny. The answer to meaning of life, universe and everything is different in slums from what it is in a different place.

I think the Santa dude (who is a bit of a bell end) represents the commercial and superficial side of Christmas and the homeless person is there to show how people forget about actually caring for others in need during the Christmas period.

I think there is a deep message there.
