Hello There! I am VertX

Hello! Nice to be part of the community. I am most likely going to be a very active person on the forums. So, A little bit about me.. I am 19, Born, raised, and currently live in the Minnesota area, and I work with computers as a hobby.

Little about my history with gaming. The first game I ever played was Tomb Raider for the PlayStation. That game was the game that got me into all of this. Growing up, my parents would get the Call of Duty series on the PS2, and I would play it all the time (Was about 10 at the time) But getting my first computer at age 14 changed me forever. I was playing FPS games all the time on my PC, and loved every minute of it while my PS2 was collecting dust. I also was learning about computers during that time. I knew about hard drives, processors, and all the other goodies that make up a PC. Now, just two months ago, finding Xonotic while browsing through the web, I got hooked. Downloaded it, extracted it, and ran it. 15 Minutes in, I was hooked. Ended up staying up two nights playing Xonotic with bots. No game has got me this addicted before. The fast action and community are AMAZING! I have played shooters like Quake 3 Arena and Doom, but this tops them in my opinion.

I am looking foward to seeing you guys in the arena.

Hi and welcome! Nice to see some more NA players here. You might want to check out the Newbie Corner (link in my sig). The pace of this game when playing bots is nothing compared to playing online opponents :oD

Remember that whenever you find someone doing stuff in the game that you cannot figure out how to do, just ask. Most experienced players will take their time to explain game mechanics to newcomers. The player community is overall very open and friendly.

Hey and welcome new NA player, we need more of us to overtake the European types. Lots of NA servers but not as many players.

As it is mentioned above don't hesitate to ask other players for advices. I can recommend to do a lot of 1v1 vs skilled players in the beginning so the learning-curve goes faster. As far as I've seen they don't mind wrecking you! Hopefully because they know what a player need to face in the beginning and not because they don't have other stuff do to
