DEKU TREE map blender export questions

#1
Hey guys,
I've built up this map using Blender.
Its in its early stages, but I need to do some play testing.
The problem is, I am on a Mac, and I can't figure out for the life of me how to get this thing onto NetRadiant, and then get it working for nexuiz/xonotic.

Could anyone offer some advice, or provide some links for some tutorials?
I am not very tech savy, and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Thanks,

So I exported the map as .map, tried to open in Net Radiant, n nothing happens.
But I get one of these:

Odd... Which exporter are you using?
Maybe try exporting it as a model instead? (no further editing possible in radiant then, though)

FrutieX, filip and I are working together on this. Is there an exporter you could recommend?

If I have objects in my map, like torches or statues, should I export them as objects and add them in net radiant, or could I just merge them with the map before I export? Is any particular method better?

Hi filip!Did you use z80's exporter script or default Blender map exporter. Because z80 wrote a neat map exporter for blender you could use. here yo can find the thread with the link to it

Hi. I just wanted to mention that there's a pretty good tutorial over here along with some other interesting stuff on optimizing your blender meshes for games in general. There's also a very interesting walkthrough on how he realised a whole map using a workflow between radiant and blender here
