[NEED HELP] Unable to turn on gamepad for gameplay

   

Hello,
I am a person who prefers to play games on a controller. I lack dexterity when it comes to using a keyboard for multiple actions. I would like to try Xonotic by using a gamepad (Logitech F310), but the game does not detect my gamepad. The option to use a gamepad is greyed out in the settings. 
OS - Ubuntu 20.04

Do you use the GLX or the SDL version? Autobuild or latest release? Do you use the zip from the website or a Snap/Flatpak package (not sure if they exist)?
I'm not sure if the GLX version supports gamepads, but the SDL version definitely does.
You can also start the game from terminal. There might be an error message about the joystick subsystem.
