Well, the title says it all. I REALLY don't know why i opened this thread.
My PC specs are the following:
-CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @2.66 Ghz , 2.13 Ghz
-GPU : nVidia GeForce 8600 GT 512mb ddr3
-RAM : 2gb @667mhz ddr2
-Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2L

(This post was last modified: 06-23-2012, 01:29 PM by rocknroll237.)
-CPU i7 960 @ 3.2ghz (might consider bumping it up to 3.8ghz)
-RAM 6gb XSM3 1600mhz (a lot of people seem to have 8gb, but I don't feel the need to have any more)
-CPU cooler CoolIt A.L.C Domino (great cooling and reasonably quiet)
-GPU Asus Ares (Insane limited edition card)
-HDD Seagate Barracuda 1.5tb, 32mb cache, 7200 rpm (annoying, but has decent performance and LOADS of space)
-Case Antec 1200 (stunning looking, great air-flow, lots of space)
-PSU Corsair TX650w (very efficient)
-Motherboard Asus P6X5D-E (USB 3.0, 3 PCI express 2.0 lanes (x16, x16), support for up to 24gb RAM)
Might get an SSD and a new gpu at the end of the year (or the beginning of 2013), if my Dad allows it!

Motherboard: idk xD
Xonotic runs fine, I can use high in singleplayer and can record demos on ultra, not realtime though but still great :-)

Mine is probably around average for a gaming rig a few years old:
Primary
-----------------
Biostar TA790GX AM2+ motherboard
AM2+ AMD Phenom X4 Black Edition, 3GHz
4GB (2X 2GB sticks) GSkill DDR2 clocked at 1066MHz
Nvidia GRILLforce (Geforce that runs hot as hell) 9800GTX, 256 bit architecture, 1GB RAM
1 TB Seagate Barracuda
Gets the job done, though my GPU took some damage from a certain driver Nvidia released a few years ago so it doesn't perform as well as it should. It should also be noted that I have aftermarket cooling installed on my CPU (GeminII heatsink with aluminum fans) and GPU (Sparkle Calibre VDT2000, got it free with my card).
Secondary
-------------------
Integrated motherboard
MOS Technology 6510/8500 CPU, 1.023 MHz
64 kB onboard RAM
No GPU
Cassette drive with a bunch of 74 minute dual sided cassette tapes
I'll let you know if I find a way to make Xonotic run on it
ECKZBAWKZ HUGE LIST OF ACHIEVEMENTS GOES HERE....
Oh wait.

Didn't want to make a new topic, so i guess this might be the right place to following question.
My second computer is dedicated to 3dfx cards (voodoo2 SLI & voodoo5 5500)
This may be stupid question, but has anyone tested how does these oldschool 3d-cards work with xonotic?
I know there is a lot of people who is using 3dfx for the nostalgic reasons as a hobby.

Run Xonotic/misc/tools/the-big-benchmark/the-big-benchmark and see what happens. What is the rest of this system like? In my experience a Geforce FX5600 is able to get the game running on tweaked low settings slowly so I really don't think you will get it working realistically at all.

With voodoo2 SLI & voodoo5 5500 there is
2x 800Mhz PIII CPU's and 2GB of DRAM memory.
I guess it's quite difficult to get it work with playable frame rates, even in lowest settings as possible. I have to do some testings.

- HD-Audio Onboard
- Corsair Graphite 600T (case)
- 700W Coolermaster Silent Pro
- LG GH22NS50 22x DVD burner
- 1TB WD Caviar Black 64MB Cache, SATA3
- 8GB Kingston ValueRAM DDR3-1333 CL9
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 1280MB - Gainward Phantom
- MSI P67A-GD80 B3, Intel P67
- Intel Core i7-2600K, 4x 3.40GHz
- Prolimatech Megahalems inkl. BeQuiet! PWM
- Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 Bit

I guess it's quite difficult to get it work with playable frame rates, even in lowest settings as possible. I have to do some testings. I've done a lot of testing with a 2x1GHz Pentium 3 Tualatin and even when an FX5950 Ultra was shoehorned in it still would only average up to 35fps on OMG. With an FX5600 it's 30fps. You'll be down 20% on CPU and several hardware generations on graphics so I would think you'll be looking at single digits.
You will also lack OpenGL 2 support which does make the game rather difficult to play as warpzones are not rendered.
It would still be interesting to see for historic reasons! I would suggest trying OMG and low as well on the-big-benchmark. I currently hold the 2 lowest scores with some of the leftover computers at home:

AMD Athlon X2 4200+
4GB DDR2
Radeon HD3850
250GB hdd
SB Live/USB headphones
So it's not much really. I'm going to upgrade the GPU this fall since AMD is dropping support for hd2-hd4 series and I still want to play Xonotic on Linux ;-).
