Looks cool, but I dislike the colored orbs under the platforms. Definitely a step up though.

I agree here, don't think they look that good by their selves. Perhaps they should be jets throwing colored flames instead, I think that would be perfect (the flames could keep the orbs as coronas, but more discrete).

Tried the new version. Looks nice, but imho it's still too simple and lacks detail.

I'm working on a version of my own now, trying to add more details and stuff. If that's ok and no one is kept waiting, and changes may still be proposed to this map, I'll post my edit too when it's ready.

I'm heading off for the night, will continue this tomorrow when I'll likely finish my version. Till then, I uploaded a pk3 with the map in its current state, so it can be tested. I'd like to hear suggestions on what you think so far. It's not finished yet of course.

Finished! I'm hoping the changes aren't too major... I think it looks better and much more detailed now. I also corrected some tiny map issues and added bot pathing (surprisingly, bots navigate the map quite well). Would like to hear opinions and if anything else needs to be changed (although this is my final version for now).

Quite an improvement over the original map. The thrusters look quite cool. And that jump pad is simply amazing. Big Grin

The map is beautiful Smile And the skybox looks like some enormous explosions! Maybe it would be possible to make in-game explosions look like that?

I made a version 2 correcting more small issues and adding more detail (such as the small lights casting discrete lightning on the floor). New links and pics of what I changed:

Thanks. I tried bringing it to a state where it could be a good official map too. Yeah, I hated the old version which used to be played on servers all the time (like with evilspace) but I'd like to see this one in Smile

map looks nice, true.
Also putting those platforms higer than before, so you can't get there just by a laser jump, makes the gameplay completely different (I could argue if it's better but it's a remake, so something should be different and there are not many possibilities to change on this map Smile ).
Skybox is impressive, just stunning.

In your personal files is a folder called My Games

Put the pk3 file into
Code:
My Games/xonotic/data

Then you can choose the map in the menu of Xonotic
Multiplayer > Create
Pick the map Smile and start...

Does that work too with Nexuiz maps? Just copy them from Nexuiz, that would be really handy!
