Seems in FT unlike CTF players from the two teams get spawned all over the place. Is there a way to force teams to spawn at each base or is this a map setting.

Are you talking about the master branch?

In the master branch, TDM has such a setting, but FT does not. It's hardcoded in teamplay.qc, that FT does not use team spawns.

Can I request this setting for future implementation? Most of the players requested this which makes sense as its still a Team gametype.

Yes, you can.

(Think hard before posting there though. If you're reporting a bug, make sure it's indeed a bug. And if you abuse feature requests none of them will go through.)

FWIW, I agree with you and think it's strange to have a setting for TDM but not for FT.
