Xonotic Player Map

Here's a fun idea that just came to my mind when people were talking about where they're located in IRC: A collaborative Google map where all Xonotic players can add their location, so that in the end we hopefully come up with a good idea of where all our fellow players are located!

You should add your in-game or IRC nick to the placemark you posted, but of course you can stay anonymous if you want to. The map itself is "unlisted" and will stay that way, that means people can only access it if they have the URL. Check out that short how-to in the map description if you're not sure how to add your placemark.

Oh, and please don't mess up the map by adding fake locations, moving around other player's placemarks or other "fun" stuff!

Okay, not a bad idea. I'm not sure if one can use different icons (colors) on the same map, or if I would've to create a new one? Anyone with Google Maps experience around?

You are able to change the icon of any mark if you click at it (next to "Title").

The green dot labeled "Cthulhu" is obviously Cthulhu, duh ...the description also contains a link, click on it! (And yes, I added that placemark myself.)

XSAX was added by Mirio - who else would you suspect?! - and I guess that's okay since they're buddies and such

Cool idea. Added myself in a lonely area but hopefully as maybe this catches on it won't be so lonely. Man, it'd be cool to mark servers in a different color :/ Good idea Zykure!

But this map doesn't cater for those who play Xonotic in the International Space Station... Or Mars...

It's one of the default you can choose, look in your control panel.

Seriously, those who recently joined our little community should think about adding themselves to the player map. Read the map description for more info; you need a Google account to edit.
