[SUGGESTION] DodgeBall Mod [video]

I just realized this post might better live here.

There was a Dodgeball Mod for Unreal 2004 that was a great idea and really fun. The game-play would pit two teams against each other in a small divided arena with 'jails' on the outsides or beyond the back lines. You could hit, pickup, throw, and catch the big red dodgeball. If you hit someone on the opposite team, they would be put in jail behind their opposing team. So when one of your remaining teammates missed (or a target didn't catch), the ball would wander to your team's jail, so a locked-out player could pick up the ball and try to hit the opposing team from behind, and if successful, could get back into the main arena. Also, if  an opposite team player throws the ball at you and you catch it, they go to jail! The goal of the game was to eliminate the other team before they eliminate you. There were tricks you could do where you could throw the ball to a teammate, and then he could hit it into the opposite team very fast! Team work would win the match!

It was a GREAT mod!

There are two paths forward for this mod I can think of, neither is out of the box ready to support the game play you're requesting, but there is similar.

1) Fireball Dodger (possible without code changes)

Make a TDM map that's playerclipped down the middle, with teams spawning on either half.  Players spawn with the Fireball.

2) A New Nexball Mode (requires code changes)

i wonder if you could mod the mortar to do a similar thing. the projectile speed and ark would be variables in the code that could easily be changed. you would increase the number of bounces and when the grenade explodes ammo pack would spawn.
