So, I just moved my gmail account from a very old, meaningless one, to one that actually consists of my name. Now, Google decided that it's a good idea to switch my YouTube layout to a new one as well. ALL of it. Without warning. Now, I like it. It's clear, it's concise, and it retained all of the functionality that was in the old one. Except for a convenient switch to "Uploads only". Boo.
But they also made me move my monitor a couple of inches to the right.
And this is the reason:
The player is slightly to the left. Why. Is. That. So. I like it when the player is in the centre, because it means I can look at it without bending my neck. I guess they're trying to compensate for those who centre their monitor based on an average between keyboard and mouse, but most people I know centre their monitor based on keyboard only. This means that I have to bend my neck to watch a goddamned video.
I don't know how long will it take for this change to reach you, but if you see it, please for the life of our necks send feedback to YouTube about it.
