- how do you want to keep laser/shot/melee in one weapon?

i've got an idea:
- automelee when you near the enemy (like Warsow's GunBlade)
- fire: shotgun
- alt fire: laser

then the warsow players/devs would complain xonotic copies from their game

Well, that wouldn't happen if Warsow didn't copy FPS games by making a FPS game in the first place. Surely Warsow wasn't the first to introduce auto-melee? And why would it matter? It's not like we are threatening them, or violating their copyright or patents.

Yup! Plus the devs at WSW always say bad stuff about Xonotic like "we're not like Xonotic which have no quality in mind" and other stuff.

I have got a weird feeling this game is going to have only two weapons in V1: Nex and RL. So stupid.

Looking forward to 0.7. I really like the 8-bit look. Since I'm used to Quake, +1 for the weapon redesign. I don't think I'll ever get used to secondary fire and weapon switching combos though. But I'll give it another try with the new weapons. Looks like there's a general tendency for simpler designs. Even W§W gets a redesigned ammo system.

Talking about W§W, for the 0.7 they reworked some maps to avoid FPS drops in certain areas. I'd love to see that in Xon, too (aether).

And one more little wish : Please make minsta infinite ammo.

minsta with infinite ammo is called insta, xonotic has both modes, but most seem to prefer the ammo twist thus minsta is the popular one.
