Hax hitscan weapons should be fixed, as they were nerfed.
As for physics, there is a mod that the former nexrun community (me included) is working on, called Xonotic ProMode. The physics in XPM are almost identical to CPM, with some minor improvements even (IMHO).
XPM weapon balance is still quite WIP, but you can see it take form in git, under the name balanceFruit.cfg in the fruitiex/fruitbalance branch. It's mostly tweaked during 1v1 duels, but up to now we haven't played many of those yet. So even if the balance isn't ready yet, we should somehow get people to playtest and give feedback, as any kind of changes are still open into the XPM balance!
