OK, pcl, here is a zipped folder with some (imo =) nice frags for you. 2 of them are minsta, but since the distance is pretty high and I did a fast turning around, I think they might look good in your movie

NOTE: At the beginning of the demo names I added the times where you can find the frags, e.g.
12-22___name.dem means that you find the frag starting at 12:22 on the clock. The minsta frags are on one demo so its
xx-xx_yy-yy___name.dem. I hope this makes it easy for you to find the frags quickly

Yeah, I'm sort of looking for some good single frags..but hey, if you have one hell of a frag streak, it might fit just as well if not better..really all depends on the material itself.

The kill on the guy who steals the flag. First some shoots with shotgun and then i took him down with a distance laser shot.

a mid air nex while both are in the air

Mental:

flag defending, including a cap and some kills (its just like 10 sec long)

How long frag streaks would you like? 26 or 27 what I have now is pretty much the maximum in minsta+hook. Killing there is pretty easy, things like Rage are easy to get. But getting killed is even more easy One noob has a bit kinda lucky shot and BOOM, no more fragstreak. So normally massacre is the most you can get in minsta, this Carnage is pretty unusual

I can try to make a longer one, but that won't be easy

P.S. I will try to post more demos, but how do you guys know were the good frags are? I can only watch my demos in Nexuiz, Multiplayer, Demos. Windows media player can't play .dem files. How do you do that?

To answer your question, there is a built in video recorder that comes with nexuiz and xonotic, and can be utilized by using the commands cl_capturevideo 1/0. There are a bunch of mutators for the cl_capturevideo command that change the output of the video. Generally, I record in uncompressed avi then encode that file to make it smaller, while still trying to retain the quality. Also, to give the video some slight natural blur, I record in 120fps and when I encode the file (to make it smaller), I record it at 30 fps, which blends every four frames into one frame, give the video that natural blur. Of course, the higher the original recording framerate is, the better the blur looks, but such recordings can lead to very, very, very large files.

I play that rocketminsta in about 250+ fps

And how big killstreaks do you want me to make (I can just focus on making kills, and to not get killed, but I didn't even do that in that carnage demo.)

Thanks for submitting demos everyone! Just thought I would give everyone a quick update: the second track is close to being done, still another fourth of it left to fill. Just in case you haven't yet, submit any good frags you might have to me, so I can look them over! I'll still have a lot of work to do after I get those frags in, which means I might be able to add something else in if I get other demos to go through.

PCLizard, I found a demo pack on my harddrive I originally put together for a video I was going to do but scrapped. There's about 15 demo's altogether with a lot of frags in them i'll upload and PM you the link on here.

Hey everyone,
I thought I would update everyone on the status of the frag movie. So far, it is coming along very well. Along the way I have redone several parts of the video, and have had some ideas for the video itself as well. A quick question: what does everyone think about the length of the video? I think that at the rate I'm going it's going to be pretty long. I ask this question because this means it will be a pretty large file to download when I am finished with it...of course it will be smaller watching it through youtube since it re-encodes the entire video, but for the actual file itself...it will probably be very large. Also keep in mind this will most likely be the last video I work on for nexuiz....so what do you think? Should I try to keep it small, or should I put the ideas I had in mind into the video?
