[BUG] Lightspeed map incorrectly rendered when OpenGL 2.0 is disabled/not available

Just set this up in the tracker:

It seems to be caused by having OpenGL 2.0 disabled as then glow, gloss, bump et al aren't available.

Can anyone confirm that this is also a problem on other systems? It could be fixed in the map by putting in some basic textures so that it looks right without OpenGL 2.0. Otherwise OpenGL 2.0 becomes a requirement to play the game.

its probably the fog (very few maps have fog atm) ... check to see if courtfun has the same issue

It seems to be caused by fog indeed.

Now all we need is someone who can fix this in the engine.

Would disabling fog if vid_gl20=0 be an acceptable workaround? Much easier than coding fog into the 1.30 path one might think.

No, as disabling fog in general is considered cheating.

Also, fog in the 1.30 path once worked. No idea who broke it and when.

iceykitsune, are your drivers up to date? This might be the issue on your side. It's caused by either old hardware or bad drivers. But it's also a regression bug in Xonotic, since it used to work fine on old hardware/drivers.

accept redplanet doesn't have fog ... (does it?) so this may be a different issue
