Where are Weapon skins?

I would like to do some skinning myself however i don't seem to find any texture files is there any tutorial to follow about skinning? I kinda figured that the skins might be included in iqm? But i'm not sure if this is right. Setting up Blender just to do some skinning seems to be annoying as well since it doesn'T work by default with xonotic.
