Title, as an opt in and/or server enforced cvar. I just think it's annoying to hear yourself all the time (especially considering this is a game with lots of big guns and pitter patter) and wouldn't harm the abstractions too much. I even believe it'd open new horizons in spatial awareness especially on pubs.
"own SFXs" may include:
- Your footsteps
- Your gadgets (hooks, jetpacks etc)
- Your gunshots
- Your pickup sounds
Of course others will still be able to hear you, especially if they also have the option on.
