Nexuiz Spotted In British TV Series

I was watching episode 4 of "Hit and Miss" Wiki IMDB a british TV series that started airing on Sky Atlantic may 22 2012. They showed a kid playing Nexuiz although they appear to have made some modifications to the sounds along with the graphics like the added 'game over' text in the second clip. The Nexuiz HUD, minsta nex, and score board all look untouched.

Just found it interesting figured some of you might as well.

Sweet! Have you seen this? It's a commercial featuring Sauerbraten. I reckon they use the open-source games because they won't have to worry about copyright & shit.

No I haven't is that commercial aired in the US? The voice over sounds like it isn't but even then I wouldn't have recognized Sauerbraten since i haven't played it

And yeah the first thing I thought about when I noticed it was Nexuiz is that they probably choose it because it is open source and the copyright situation was easy to deal with.

Neither does Sauerbraten but my guess here would be they want to make it appear normal and thus make it seem these actors are playing a popular console game that you're not supposed to worry your pretty little head over, they don't want to distract you with something slightly different like idk PC gaming. I think it's also part of the reason they modified the sounds and graphics to make it very clear what is going on i.e. gun shots and not minsta sounds and the game over screen instead of just freezing in place with the score board showing.

Hmm... That company that bought Nexiuz, was making it for PS, maybee it is its advertisement? LOL

They didn't steal it, they bought it.

Also, an advertisement? Are you kidding? Showing a game that isn't even theirs, without mentioning its name? That's a weird way to invest your money.
