[SOLVED] Newest Xonotic git displays all black!

I have compiled using the latest xonotic git version using:
$ ./all pull
$ ./all compile
$ ./all run

and I run the G23 map. Everything is black. If I uses r_showsurface 3, it will display the things but without texture.
I am using Thinkpad X200 with GMA4500 MHD. The OS is fedora 13 with the latest mesa that support OpenGL 2.1. The early version of xonotic and nexuiz 2.5.2 to SVN are working very well.

Everything black:
   

r_showsurface 3, disable textures

I had this same issue with the Windows build. I was lucky to get the G-23 map once, but re-building the git removed it again.

It is not the map's problem. Every map is like that.

Someone on irc had a similar issue, try switching VBO's off in the video settings tab. IF that does it pls tell us your graphics hardware, os and driver versions.

Disabling the VBOs does not work.
I am using Fedora 13 in Thinkpad X200s. It uses GMA4500 MHD.

I have a similar problem. Textures don't load anymore:

Simplus - go into Settings -> Effects, and activate "avoid lossy texture compression". I had the same problem as you, and that seemed to fix it.

I don't think it'll fix liberty's problem though.

It does fix my problem. Thank you. Should it be a bug of xonotic or my hardware's problem?

Your hardware should be fine - but I'm no expert on computers! Tongue

The "avoid lossy texture compression" setting is just for people who's graphics hardware isn't good enough to give a good FPS rate when running xonotic. The fact that it's disabled by default is probably unintended.

My graphics card does not support texture compression though. This option should be enabled by default for compatibility reason.
