hm... more generally, it would seem to me somehow natural to mention all victim names at the end of all frags movies. Even very briefly.
Let's say for the sake of battlefield memory...

flickshot over the great wall, ai had a non fragging shot like that about 2 years ago i think. Its really a shot i have been dreaming to get, ridicilously high speed flickshot. Have to ask though : it seems that i don't point to the target at the time of the shot, is it my lag or any other funny effect? looks like a bug to me.

maybe try to increase fps?
cl_capturevideo_fps 200
200 is maybe too much but it will help to get a smooth vid after encoding (well, i hope it will...)

Given that the standard frames per second used by television standard are much less than 200 (25 FPS for PAL/Europe and 30 FPS for NTSC/North America), I think you can still get smooth motion by just doubling the frames per second that you want in your final. Even then I think that's overkill!

there's one disadvantage of your method. Quite HUGE video files.
If you wanna record some more stuff, you suddenly realize that all of your free space is... gone (happened to me once)

Absolutely! They are downright huge. I've tried tweaking the ogg quality up to 63, which is the maximum value according to the darkplaces source, but I haven't tried using bitrate in conjunction with this (see same source file - relevant cvars are cl_capturevideo_ogg_theora_quality and cl_capturevideo_ogg_theora_bitrate).

Has anyone used the bitrate option for encoding to ogg theora and gotten any good results? Really raw is too huge, and it would be nice if we had the ability to encode to huffyuv, which would give us lossless video but with much better compression than raw. See "benchmarks" section here for old, but probably still relevant stats on compression w/ huffyuv over raw.

I would like to announce that, ceMantic.Allstars - a final goodbye, will be released sometime in the next 3-4 week's. I have been working on this since I put up 'hard-fragging' and my 1on1 commentary and have kept quiet about it. I already spent a lot of time watching demo's and recording frags/clips + camera angles.

It will be more of a tribute for both the clan and the community and thanks to people for making the game possible then a frag-movie, but it will contain some 1on1, TDM & CTF footage from the best parts/times of the team. This will be the last video I make for nexuiz and my best by far, this is farewell

So I will update when I have finished editing, hopefully it can take that top spot from Octobre

First, let us consider recording demos of class sessions, if possible. I know they are one hour or longer, but it would be a valuable resource for all players Nexuiz. If nothing else, may enroll after 10 minutes of them when explaining techniques and leave an hour or more, when people practice techniques.
