Renamon & Krystal player models

Some time ago, I found two freebie models of Renamon and Krystal of very good quality, which I adapted to Blender. Since they look so good, I decided to rig them to the Erebus animation skeleton and make them into player models. Version 1.0 of both is available after nearly 3 days of work, both to rig and adapt all of the textures.

The models are of equal to higher quality compared to the default Xonotic players. I adapted them to contain everything they need... including LOD models and shirt / glow / bump / gloss textures. Colors are fully customizable (except eyes) making them very good for team games also. If you own a server, feel free to add the pk3's so players can use them.

Renamon is from Digimon, Krystal is from Starfox. But you frequently see both in community game mods, especially Garry's Mod. Now in Xonotic too

No doubt. But there's also no doubt that there are more appropriate images out there (or, even better, you could make a screencap of the actual model, it being a preview and all).

I think personaly I would have used a glossy blender render for the frontline...

Yes. Just download the two pk3 files and place them in the Xonotic/data folder. The characters should then appear in the player settings menu.

They aren't part of the default set so there's no reason to get your knickers in a twist Faraday.

There's no reason antropomorphic animals would be "inapropriate" except in the context of our art style. If only they weren't naked.

Not true, although a lot of people have that idea sadly. It is true that it's an area which contains a bit more inappropriate stuff than other domains, but not everything about it is. Nothing inappropriate about these player models, so here's the closest example

I think he refers to the apparently (almost)naked Krystal model as well as the model previews that show up in the video, not the clothed ones on the thumbnails.

Because all file hosts I used suck. Use the GIT repository, unless someone else uploaded those pk3's somewhere else first.
