#1
Hi all, i've made some GPLv2 skyboxes for the Xonotic so i decided to make this discussion to suggest my creations to the devs and mappers.
I've read this topic so i decide to accelerate my work and so the results.

I want just to say one thing : this skyboxes are free to use for NON commercial use.
If devs consider this skybox good for the Xonotic project are free to use it inside the project
I know my skyboxes are not like Cuinnton one for quality ( Cuinnton's ones are great in quality ) but this is my contribution for this moment.

Of course : if you have comments plz post.

Wow, these look very good. Well done!

There is something unclear to me though, because this:
Quote:i've made some GPLv2 skyboxes
does not go together with this:
Quote:this skyboxes are free to use for NON commercial use.
as far as I know. As in: licensing something as GPL means you can not keep anyone from using it in a commercial project, as long as this project is GPLv2 compatible too.

I hate this problem for copyright and license ... but i understand what you said after the first march 2010 Sad
Btw if you want to use in Xonotic i will be proud to see my creations used.

That skybox would fit very well on your farewell version, in combination with white fog and func_snow

<bluez> halogene, you make awesome music, but you have no clue about ctf.
<Halogene> I didn't know mappers include some mysterious waypoints so members of the BOT clan can navigate a map?

nice, but color transitions are noticable (first two pictures in the lower part). could you make them smoother?

I can try to do some skybox similar in Terragen 2 but in TG the problem persist Sad

Maybe you can search for something called "dithering" in the software you use? That could remove the color transition borders.
