[BUG] wonky user stats (I'm in a game today, by I'm last seen 1 month ago?)

#1
Something weird is going on with the stats.  This is my stats page. Last game a month ago. But check out this game, which was played today. I'm there. So what's up with that?

Hello,
It looks like cl_allow_uidtracking is not enabled (you can also check it in the menu on "Multiplayer -> Profile -> Allow stats to track your client").

All three stats options are enabled under Multiplayer > Profile:

* Allow player statistics to track your client
* Allow player statistics to use your nickname
* Allow player statistics to rank you in leaderboards

I'm using version 0.8.5-1.2 btw

Maybe there's a problem with your Xonotic package then. Do you use the Xonotic package provided by your Linux distribution, or the Flatpak / Snap version?
Try downloading the official Xonotic archive: https://xonotic.org/download/ and see if it works.

I'm using the package provided by OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. That package just got updated again recently to 0.8.5-1.3

I'm downloading the one from https://xonotic.org/download right now and will test it and reply later.

Well that's a complete pain in the ass. It works when I download directly, but not with the packaged one. Any idea what could possibly be wrong with the packaged version? I can try to diff every file but that's gonna suck.

I think your best option is to file a bug report and notify the OpenSUSE package maintainer(s) about the non-working stats issue.
IIRC the Snap (and maybe Flatpak) versions also used to have issues with stats not working.
