Something I did in a couple of hours on Soundation. Brutal critical feedback would be appreciated. Also i have the original file on my computer with date of creation before anyone thinks of passing it off as their own (I´m saying this just in case someone does. I don´t think this is very good but tbh better safe than sorry.

mmmh Interesting style, sharing music and immediately saying DON'T DARE TO TAKE MY STUFF AND CLAIM YOU MADE IT
(SCNR)
also, creation dates are usually not really suitable for proving anything
BUT (!)
nice of you to share in the first place. Also nice to get to know soundation, didn't know about the project, looks cool!
As for the music: for me, the tune could do with some softer elements, it's too sharp and aggressive for me right now. Imho it would need some aspects that give the sound some spaciousness, dunno. But I'm not the one to ask if you want to get qualified feedback with regard to electronic music anyway I guess :o)

hehe sorry never posted music online before. Guess I´m a bit paranoid.
I don´t have access to a computer I won so whenever i get a chance to use someone´s computer I go to soundation. There are other online DAWs but up till now I´m I´ve been using soundation. DOWNSIDE is that you can´t save anything unless you pay a monthly rate. also, you can´t have buss channels , automation has no units. good point though: it is VERY nifty regarding time stretching, however no pitch correction is involved unfortunately.
It is free for he most part but the best thing about the DAW is the "wub machine". forget the presets though its a versatile synth even if it has some things lack (like ADSR and temp sync for OSCs). Okay I´ll stop now.
here´s a SOFTER track I did before this one.

:^ That's real crappy tune, man!
I love the beats as always, but I found the melodic layer somewhat contradictory. Maybe that's just me but I feel like different melodies playing together are in different keys.
Don't wanna be rude, just helpful
Keep tuning!

thanks but as I said, I made it on soundation so I couldn´t save it unfortunately.
Also soundation is no longer free in any way so for anyone interested there´s another free online DAW called audiotool.com its also but with many more options so not so user friendly for some people but its addictive as anythings so try it out.

Hey keep experimenting chooksta! you can do lots of great stuff with playing in two keys or more. Stravinsky, Bartok, Mahler and Ravel did it. So no reason to not to do it if that`s the effect you want. There are some great websites for this just google polymodes or polyscales or if your into something a bit more "bulky" then check this book out.

Hey, Chooksta!
Yup, experimenting brings on great things, so yeah, keep doin it! I do that too. And not everything works cool ,but sometimes one fliped-up tune teaches me somethin' And making it was worth that lesson.
Btw: I'm (officially) submiting another tune!!

Hehe here's me experimenting with orchestral instruments, feeback is very welcome! I say this for almost every new tune I pump out, but *this* one is definitely the best I've made so far! (sign of progress or just self confidence? who knows!)
Have a listen!

LOL, FruitieX!
Gotta love this, phat beats and symphonic orchestra. That's the way it's gotta be done! Make it soundtrack for Augenkrebs!
Also the square lead is realy cool. And I love the diversity you've put there. A lot of good music there, could be an alternative soundtrack for Big Buck Bunny for me
May I ask what software and resources did you use?

I use Ableton Live 8 for my music production. For this song I used samples from this pack: http://www.ableton.com/eic (yeah lazy me should really use free samples instead )
Square wave-ish sound is just a frequency modulated square wave, synthesized with a stock ableton instrument "operator". Drum samples from a lot of different packs.

Wow! That's heavy, Smilecythe!
Some places sound strange to me, but some riffs are really cool.
Also the beats are cool.
And I like the mix. The bass is really bassy yet not overloaded
Make some more!

I suggest you hit Free Download and fetch the 320k MP3, for some reason my mixes always sound horrible on these in-browser players (they compress audio so much)
I think I need to bring down the bass, but it's hard to hear what's right when I don't use speakers when mastering :o

@Smilecythe:
Except the disharmonic keyboard sounds (which sound odd tbh) I´m really impressed of your track! Guitars ftw!
